Cyber Safety

Teaching children to be safe online.

Cyber citizenship is an important feature of our programs.

With the use of technology, comes the responsibility for teaching children about cyber safety, which has become one of the major issues for families in schools around the world.

We approach cyber safety through education - teaching children, parents and caregivers about how they can keep safe in the digital world.  We teach children about their rights and responsibilities online.

At IHM we have a User Agreement for every student and have internet filters which protect the students from accessing inappropriate content. Children are also taught about Internet and cyber safety and being an effective digital citizen as they progress through our school as part of our Child Protection Curriculum.

Keeping children safe online is a joint responsibility of our school and your family.  We can also provide advice for parents and caregivers so they can ensure their children are safe when online at home.
